'Kanezra' Run

The 'Kanezra' hilts were my third batch. I made 2 and then did a further batch of 5 as more and more were requested. The hilt was inspired by the new Ezra hilt in the Ahsoka show. The hilts featured the iconic emitter shroud and tsuba, along with various bunny ears, grip styles , exposed crystal chambers and other customisations including etching, grip shrouds and knurling.

​Here is the last saber from my 'Kanezra' Run. I've really pushed myself with the details on this one, creating something very unique with new skills and techniques.
- Every part of this saber is made 100% from scratch. Turned, milled, machined and fashioned together into its final form.
- Both the emitter and Grip shrouds have Fleur de Lis styled etching.
- The lower grip is threaded for removal and easy access to the internals.
- Lots of milled details with plenty of cutouts for chassis lights and details, plus a detailed crystal chamber with real quartz.
- I'm rather proud of this one, and glad it's now completed

Finally, after much mucking around and tweaking, my personal Kanezra is finished, the 'Master Kanezra' if you will.
This features a whole load of in depth machined features, to push my creativity for my future sabers, including.
- Etched undergrip
- Etched chassis sleeve
- Brass Crystal Chamber with Stainless steel crystal mounts
- Stainless Steel heat stained brass chamber detail rods
- Steel chamber shroud with heat stain
- Stainless Steel Switch housing
- Slide off grip section
- Scratch made D-ring holder
- Low profile sound venting
- Heavy, dark but smooth weathering all over.
All parts of this hilt have been carefully filed, de-burred and smooth to ensure a nice comfortable hold, despite the exceptional weight!
Aluminium, Brass, Steel and Stainless steel make up this hilt.
It's going somewhere special for a custom chassis and install, and can't wait to see it done.

Kanezra #3 100% completed and ready to ship to the customer!

This was was super fun to do, and allowed me to try out some new things. The best kinds of customers for me are the ones who allow me to be a little creative. I created on this, a unique rounded switch box which houses 2 tactile switches and has lots of shapes and radius cut details.

I try and fabricate my hilts from scratch as much as possible. The only parts of this hilt that aren't stock parts are the screws, D-ring and the quartz crystal itself.

The D-ring holder, chamber rods, knurled grip, etched shroud and all other details were done by me. This is part of the reason my builds take some time
It's very important it is to me to try and make something truly unique for my customers.
The shroud on this hilt also has a Jedi etch within an ornate pattern, and a comfy knurled grip.

Kanezra Run hilt #2 complete!
Another 100% scratch made hilt, with the tiny exception of the thumbscrews!
The customer opted for this hilt to be non weathered so they can do that part them self.
Really enjoyed the custom requests for this one, which was the grip shroud with vented slotting.
The crystal chamber features genuine quartz and 3 detail rods. Double momentary switch box with detail milling all round.

Second Kanezra 100% completed.
This one feels special as this customer was the first who asked to be part of this little batch. They wanted it to be as if Kanan was a Jedi Master, how his hilt may have ended up feeling.
Details from top to bottom.
- Etched shroud, with ornate fish scale pattern, and faint/faded Kanan eye logo.
- Kanan Tsuba guard.
- Visible crystal chamber with real quartz crystal and scratch made detail rods, with hidden passages for wire passthroughs.
- Switch box with 2 x domed tactile switches (my favourite!)
- Removable grip, to allow for a static chassis reveal.
- Ornate grip etch underlay, with detailed overshroud containing multiple vents to show off the etch.
- D-ring belt holder.
- Hidden sound vent pommel, made from solid brass.
